Since 2012 Grupo Selpe has been part of the select team of consultancy firms that integrate NPAworldwide. NPA is an international network for worldwide HR consultancy firms connection.

Grupo Selpe, founded in 1965, is a groundbreaking pioneer in recruitment and selection services and labor outsourcing and administration in Brazil.

The firm originates from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais as the accomplishment of a dream carried by three college friends. It expanded its locations to Brazil’s southeast and northeast regions. In over 50 years, Grupo Selpe has built a solid relationship with the market in which ethics, transparency, and excellence in the services offered were the basis of such link.

As time went on, new services and people development and management focused solutions were created. New tools were added in, what brought fulfillment, credibility, and trust to our clients.

  • 1965:
    • Tarcísio da Cunha Botinha, an entrepreneur, founded Selpe along with two associates. Selpe was the first talent acquisition company in Minas Gerais.

  • 1974:
    • The company innovates by releasing outsourced labor and temporary work administration services in the Minas Gerais market.

  • 1980:
    • Accountancy oriented training, personnel administration, job and wage analysis and work legislation become important to Grupo Selpe.

  • 1990:
    • Selpe performs as an HR consultancy firm, offering training according to each client’s needs. On that decade, there was a growth in outsourced services in the company.

  • 2000:
    • The company signs partnerships with national consultancy firms and serves clients in the entire Brazilian market.

  • 2005:
    • Services expand with the new Executive Division, Specialist Division, Trainee and Intern Programs, and Talent Acquisition areas.
    • Grupo Selpe is established as a Human Resources consultancy firm, focusing on client’s business comprehension and also offering strategic support.

  • 2007:
    • New locations are opened in Uberlândia and Contagem. Belo Horizonte receives the second unit.

  • 2008:
    • Activities are expanded to all Triângulo Mineiro through new facilities in Uberlândia location.

  • 2010:
    • Contagem receives new infrastructure in order to attend new clients in the region.

  • 2012:
    • Two new locations aimed at specialists, young talents, and executive audience reception are opened in Belo Horizonte.
    • Conselheiro Lafaiete’s location is opened.
    • Grupo Selpe joins NPAworldwide - The Worldwide Recruiting Network extending its reach to more than 60 international markets.

  • 2013:
    • Conselheiro Lafaiete’s structure expands.
    • Through Joint Venture and Agregar RH, Recife gets a location.
    • Ação Gerencial - Treinamento e Desenvolvimento is attached to Grupo Selpe’s companies.

  • 2014:
    • Enlargement of Pernambuco’s activities through the opening of a location in Goiana - PE

  • 2016:
    • Grupo Selpe signs a contract with a French company and brings an assessment tool to Brazil.

  • 2017:
    • With the arrival of two new services, Grupo Selpe is established as an HR technologies provider.
    • São Paulo location is opened, what maximizes the proximity with clients in the state capital.
